There's More to it Than You Think…

When you hear the word "shredding" most people think of paper - and rightly so. The majority of all shredded items are paper (like files, account records or ledgers; ATM receipts; bank Statements; bids, estimates and quotations; birth certificates and other copies of vital records; cancelled or voided checks; and contracts).

But, in addition to paper, many other items can be (and often should be) shredded. These items include things like:

  • X-rays
  • Microfiche/film
  • Audio Tapes
  • Video Tapes
  • CD's
  • DVD's
  • Mylar
  • Reel-to-Reel tapes
  • Stored data
  • Back-up tapes
  • Disks & Diskettes
  • Competitive intelligence (market studies, surveys, etc.)
  • ID cards
  • Marketing materials (catalogs, brochures, marketing plans, etc.)
  • Products that were never launched
  • Prototypes and models
  • T-shirts, hats, pins and other items printed with your company's logo or trademark
  • Tickets, coupons, gift cards, etc.
  • Promotional materials
  • Prescription bottles/boxes
  • Posters
  • Even Hard Drives!

But where can you find a company that can meet ALL of your needs? Well, if you're in the Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Richardson or North Texas Regions, there is a single solution to every one of your shredding needs - Texas State Shredding!

The Shredding Process…

Ideally, shredding should be an on-going process, carefully monitored by a system of policies and procedures and regularly scheduled purges. Anytime you send inactive files to storage, you should also determine a destruction date. Because this date will vary, it's a good idea to schedule your shredding dates accordingly, whether weekly, monthly or annually. This will keep your unnecessary information from continuing to pile up and take over vital (and often expensive!) space.

However, inactive files aren't the only things that need to be destroyed. Chances are that if you were to look in your trash can (yep, the one next to your desk), even it contains memos, papers and other files that should have been shredded. Do you see that envelope with a clients name and address on it? That's a risk. How about that rough draft of a follow-up letter? It too puts you in danger. You see, what a lot of people consider to be minor trash becomes a gold mine in the hands of identity thieves and information pirates.

If your file shredding is handled by a reputable company (like us!), instead of being thrown away, these items could be stored in locked boxes and consoles until friendly drivers arrive to pick them up and haul them off to our industrial shredders.

Once your files and documents make it to our facility (in secure vehicles driven by background checked drivers) they are immediately shredded into tiny, unrecognizable pieces and grouped together with other shredded files, making it virtually impossible for someone to piece them back together. Then (whenever possible) we ship them to be recycled into an unrecognizable new product. By the time we're finished with your unwanted and unneeded files and items, YOU won't even recognize them.

Our goal is to divert the vast majority destroyed goods from landfills and into the recycling stream. By recycling whatever items we can, we're striving to protect the environment and keep your replacement costs down!

But what about on-site shredding? Well, we handle that too. We've been in business for a while and we know that there will be times (and sensitive items) that require a witness or corporate representative. Therefore, we've got the means and equipment to make it happen without any hassle on your part!

Red Carpet Service…
From the beginning to the end of the shredding process, you'll receive the red carpet treatment that sets us apart from other shredding companies.

Texas State Shredding is a woman owned and operated company and because of this, you can be sure that detail orientation and satisfactory follow-up will always be our top priorities.

Fast and friendly service is also extremely important to us (just as it is to you), so when you contact us with a question or concern, a real live person will be there to answer your call.

As we work with you, we make it a point to really get to know you. So, things that many other companies will overlook (like your name, your voice, and your preferred service) are some of our primary concerns.

But the one thing that really sets us apart from the rest is that fact we proudly offer a special commitment to our customers known as the Platinum Rule.

If you've never heard of it, don't worry, there aren't many out there who have!

The Platinum Rule is the next step up from the Golden Rule. Here at Texas State Shredding, treating you the way we think you should be treated isn't enough. We're going to treat you the way you WANT to be treated. Just a few of the added benefits you'll experience from this rule include:

  • Free collection containers.
  • Employee background checks for not only our personnel but our drivers too; and
  • Once your material has been shredded, a Certificate of Destruction can be provided to you free of charge.
